1. Where It All Began
The journey of Vietnamese with Thao began from my travels abroad, where I had the chance to meet and connect with international friends from all around the world.
During our conversations, they often asked me the most amusing questions:
“Do you have supermarkets in Vietnam?”
“Is it all forests there? Watch out for snakes!”
Those questions made me laugh, yet also feel a bit wistful.
Because Vietnam - my country - has such rich culture, warm-hearted people, delicious cuisine, and a beautiful, expressive language, but somehow, it hasn’t been known or understood widely enough.
That’s when a spark grew inside me - a deep desire to share the beauty of Vietnam with the world,
to help people see a modern, diverse, and soulful Vietnam, not just “a land of jungles and sunshine.”
